Family-owned. San Antonio built.

Rivera & Sons Plumbing has been serving San Antonio and surrounding communities since 2006. What started as Carlos Rivera working solo out of a single van has grown into a trusted family operation — Carlos, his son Marco, and brother-in-law Tony, covering everything from a dripping faucet to a full home re-pipe.

We're fully licensed and insured in Texas. Our license number is M-39471. We carry full liability insurance and workers' compensation on every job. We're happy to provide proof of insurance before starting any work — just ask.

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. We stand behind our work with a 1-year parts and labor warranty on installations and a 90-day warranty on repairs.

How quickly can you come out?+
For genuine emergencies — burst pipes, flooding, sewage backup — we aim to have someone with you within 2 hours, day or night. For regular non-emergency work, our next available is usually 1 to 3 business days. We'll always give you a confirmed time window when we call to book.
Do you charge a callout fee?+
For regular daytime jobs, there's no callout fee — you only pay for the work done. For after-hours emergency callouts, there's a $150 emergency fee on top of the job cost. We're transparent about this upfront so there are no surprises.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Yes, fully. Carlos Rivera holds a Texas Master Plumber license, number M-39471, and we carry full liability insurance and workers' comp. We're happy to provide proof of insurance before starting any job — just ask.
Do you give free quotes?+
For straightforward jobs — like replacing a water heater or unclogging a drain — we can give you a ballpark over the phone. For anything more involved, we prefer to take a look first so we can give you an accurate number. The assessment visit is free with no obligation.
What payment methods do you accept?+
We accept cash, personal and business checks, and all major credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover. We don't accept Venmo, Zelle, or payment apps. Payment is due on completion of work.
Do you offer any kind of warranty?+
Yes — we stand behind our work. All installation work comes with a 1-year parts and labor warranty. Repairs carry a 90-day warranty — if the same issue returns within 90 days we come back at no charge. No questions asked.
Can you give me a price for replacing my water heater?+
A standard 40-gallon tank water heater, fully installed, typically runs between $850 and $1,200 depending on the unit and your setup. Tankless water heaters are more — usually $1,500 to $2,800 installed. We can give you a more precise number once we know the exact model you need.
Do you work on weekends?+
Yes — we work Saturdays from 8am to 2pm for regular bookings. For emergencies, we're available 24 hours a day 7 days a week including Sundays, though the emergency callout fee applies outside regular hours.
